Always having a passion for the arts, Dee pursued an artistic career in hairstyling.
This appealed to her practical side while still empowering her to tap into her
otherwise dormant vein of creativity. She owns and operates her own business which
has turned into a thirty year venture that has been both exciting and rewarding.

After several years of dabbling in different mediums, Dee found herself at home
with oil paint and
brushes!... what is the difference?....just a new canvas to express
color and design

About Dee Lessard
2009-2010 MAA Artist Of The Year!
Loving the Creative flow of painting on canvas, and particulary the challenge of bringing to life the feeling of an
object or place, helps to propel the imagination. She especially enjoys finding and painting the everyday
beauty in things around her. Capturing it in a painting is like saying" hey, look at me!" A single rose, a beautiful
pitcher, grandma's lace, capturing a reflection or a moment in time all help to inspire the paint brush to fly!
